I recently went on a trip to Faqra, a touristic site in Lebanon were there are ruins and a natural bridge. I decided to go there early and take pictures of the bridge at sunrise. Unfortunately I couldn't reach the natural bridge, instead while trying to get to the bridge I discovered that the landscape was beautiful and so here are the landscape shots.

Here are a few photography and other tips that would be useful if you're going to Faqra:
1. Wake up early and get there before sunrise.
It's worth the trouble for the number of advantages you get in return. First, you get beautiful pics in the golden light which is only present during sunrise and sunset. Second, if you get there before sunrise you would have time to set up and plan your shots ahead of time.
2. Wear long pants or jeans and boots.
In the parts of Faqra near the natural bridge, where all of these landscape shots have been taken, you will definitely walk into a lot of thorns. If you're not prepared it can be tough walking around without getting constantly irritated by thorn here or there.

3. Buy a road map.
If you don't know your way around Faqra it can be tough finding your way as the signs along the road don't offer enough information for you to find your way. However if you don't have a map, or got lost trying to use one, then I'm sure anyone you pass by along the way would be happy to help you.
4. Take a water bottle and jacket with you.
If you get there before sunrise it could be very cold, i suggest taking a jacket along. After the sun rises it could get really warm. A water bottle would be useful.

5. Rub on some mosquito repellant.
There are many pools of water made by local farmers for irrigation. This makes it ideal for mosquitos to reproduce there. Mosquito repellant will keep them away.
6. Take a zoom lens along.
If you're quiet enough while walking around you're bound to find a bit of wildlife. A zoom lens is perfect for taking snaps of birds while keeping your distance.
7. A circular polarizer would be useful too.
The image above has a lot of sky in it. If I had a circular polarizer on my lens when I took that shot the sky's colors would have been much more vivid.
8. Remove distracting objects from your photo.
In the picture below at the bottom of the left structure, you will find a block used for modern day construction. It ruins this otherwise exceptional shot. In short remove everything from your photo that doesn't go with your theme. For example, the theme of the image below is ruins. The construction block does not go with the theme.

Very nice post Harry!
