This was right before the sun disappeared under the sea. You can still see a speck of the sun in the middle. The different shades of red in this photo were great.
The sunset was somewhat naturally out of focus because of the formation of the clouds. I overexposed the pictures a bit so that the sun is like a fire ball and that the whole scene seems like some sort of mirage.
I took the same shot but wider so that I could use the land below as a frame.
